Flower petals
Pink and white
Translucent in the sun light
My flower petals
Swaying in the breeze
That spring breeze
That brings the bees
Out of hibernation
In search of
Sweet nectar
Pollen
Colorful flower petals
Shy young flower
I gaze in amazement
But close my petals
As you fly by
Curious
Interested
Amazed
I peek at you
From behind my
Delicate flower petals
You hum and buzz you
Tantalizing song
Opening my petals
Bringing me out to
Dance with you
You twirl and spin
In the air above me
Showing off your
Yellow and black
You spread your wings
And hypnotize me
Never showing that it
Was just an act
Sharp pain intruded
I am awestruck
My innocence is
Lost
You grin at me
And caress my
Petals
Removing the stringer
You pierced me
With
I never knew you were
A wasp
Falling to the ground
I look up at the sky
Almost too painfully
Blue
I shed my tears
And struggle to
Bring my petals
Closer
Out of fear you would
Return anew
As night falls on
My petals
I look to the stars
And beg for their help
Show me the way
Of keeping me safe
From those who
Would taint me
The heavens answered
‘We love you our child
With your petals of
Pink and white
We saw what happened
And wept for you
We will cover you
With the night’
My petals spread
And my colors changed
From white to
Black and blue
With red in
The middle
As morning shone
At early dawn
I waited just a little
For the buzz of
Honeybees
To pass by my side
I spread my petals
And show the red
Out and open wide
Someone comes
He’s black and yellow
Buzzing
Gently along
I show him my
Petals
And he smells the pollen
My sweet and deadly song
He comes in close
Intrigued by me
Fascinated by my colors
He strokes a petal
And
Snap
I shut them closed
The red is gone
The blue is gone
All that is left is black
The gentle innocent
Flower I was
Is now a
Venus Wasp trap
