I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I've struggled to walk past a group of young girls selling boxes upon boxes of these delicious cookies as I make my way around campus.
If you're anything like me, you also fall victim to these small, irresistible temptations. One thing I'm sure you've never thought of when you opened up a box of your cookie of choice to indulge in your diet killer was whether you bought the cookies for just the taste, or if some unconscious part of you bought them because your personality drew you to them.
1. Girl Scout S'mores
People who love S'mores are the adventurous type.
They never back down from a challenge and are always looking forward to their next trip to far away places. Another common characteristic of these people is that they're warm-hearted, and, while they love their time exploring the planet Earth, they also love to find peace in tiny moments of happiness, whether it is sitting around a campfire with friends or listening to the somber tones of a bird song in the mountains.
2. Thin Mints
These people have refreshing personalities that bring life back into a room in one of the best ways. Just as Thin Mints are one of the most renowned Girl Scout cookies, the people that deem these are their favorite never seem to meet a stranger and love being social. Their light-hearted spirits and genuine care for everyone around them are just some of the reasons that once you've met them you'll never want to spend a moment without them in your life.
3. Caramel deLites/Samoas
These are the people who find themselves as the referee in all of life's toughest moments. They combine aspects of being loving, caring, adventurous, and lively all into a perfectly packaged person who knows how to live it up and make the most of life.
These are the people that you may be miles away from, but one message from them can bring you instantly back to all the good times you've shared. They'll remind you of the big aspirations you have for the future. They're also the glue that keeps you from going insane 97 percent of the time.
4. Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs
If you're ever in need of a mix of sweet and savory in your life, these are the people you should automatically turn to.
They genuinely care about you as a person and want what's best for you while also being able to tell you straight up how it should be (all while making you love them). They're spontaneous and you may never be able to know what tricks they have up their sleeves, but in due time you'll realize their surprises are the best things that'll ever happen to you.
They're not afraid to tell you how it is because they are always coming from a place of love and you know that they never mean any harm by their words, even if what they say is hurtful. All in all they're your go-to at all times because they may be blunt but they're the best secret keepers, so feel free to divulge to them as much as you want!
5. Shortbread/Trefoils
These are the unsung heroes, the people that everyone knows and appreciates but not enough people give them the respect they deserve. That being said, these are the people that live life with an astounding passion for loving and caring for others. They approach life with an open mind and a willing spirit and life never gives them a dull moment in return. They may be on the quieter side, not always making front page news, but without them our world would fall to pieces instantly.
6. Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwiches
These are the people who upon first impression aren't as completely open or may not express love as easily as some of the others, but deep down they do genuinely care. They're bombshells with some pretty epic personalities. They view life in a more skeptical manner than most, but at the end of the day love a happy ending just as much as the rest of us do. It may take some time for you to get to know them as they can be hard to read and not always forthcoming with their deepest, darkest secrets. In time, if you keep digging, they'll let you in and you won't regret the gem you find hiding underneath.
7. Lemondades
Just like a nice glass of lemonade, these people have bright personalities that wake you up and make you feel more alive. They're outlook on life is infectious and makes you want to be with them at all times because you never want to lose that fire that you can see behind these people's' eyes. Their abounding joy and lively spirit bring light into any room they walk into. Most importantly their presence is refreshing on a stressful day when you want nothing more than to give up. You'll always want one of these people in your close friend group because despite the fact that their bubbly personality can be overbearing at times, they're the best motivators and are always encouraging you to do your best.

8. Savannah Smiles
Have you ever met someone that you swear you've never seen not smiling? These are those people. They love life to the absolute fullest capacity and don't regret it for a second. They bring joy to all of those around them just as a cool cup of ice cream does on a sweltering summer's day. As far as their view on the world goes, they're the people who see the cup as half full at all times, no matter the situation. Their sense of humor is unmatched because they love to make others smile and thrive when they can make others crack up at some joke they've told. If you're trying to find a way to dim the light that's in them, you might as well stop cause you aren't going to find one.
9. Thanks-A-Lot
These particular individuals are the ones who find themselves to be the most appreciative for the small things in life. They possess a strong desire to learn more about others around them and about different cultures from around the world so that they can be more understanding and loving towards others. In all honesty, these people don't need much in life and are lovers of a more simplistic lifestyle. That being said they are appreciative of the hand they've been dealt in this crazy world and indulge in all that life has to offer. They make for some of the best friends because they thrive off becoming more aware of others through spending quality time with them.
10. Toffee-tastic
These are the people who seem like they could be from another era, and not in a bad way. They have an old school vibe to them that borders on edgy, but somehow they totally pull it off. They may not be the most well-known or the center of attention at every party, but they could care less about any of that. They are unique in their own right and nothing is going to change that about them. Honestly, it's probably what you should love the most about them too. As carefree, free spirits they love deeply and in way that only throwback movies like Footloose or Dirty Dancing could portray.
11. Trios
These are the “cool mom of the group" friends. They know how to have a good time but also find themselves snuggled up in bed at 10 p.m. watching HGTV. These may honestly be the best friends because they don't let you do stupid things (on your own at least) and are there to pick you up when the stupid thing you did backfires in your face.
They have genuinely kind spirits and are wise beyond their years. Take some time to pick their brain, I assure you, you won't regret it. Heck, you may even learn something about life that you never thought of before.
Whether you're like me and can eat a whole sleeve of Thin Mints in one sitting or you're more of a Lemonades type of person, one thing we all have in common is that when we see Girl Scout cookies we come running.
Screw your diet or sugar cleanse. Girl Scout cookies are one of the many gifts from God Himself that He has blessed us with. So no matter what your personality is, we can all come together, box of cookies in hand, and celebrate happiness and the fact that we get to be together.
