The start of Spring brings with it a flush of flowers, perfect weather, and the overall sense of calmness knowing that in just one more month, school will be left long behind. However, the end of the school year means finals are just around the corner, causing me to desperately need a weekend full of relaxation, good company, and fun. Below are five things I would do if I had an entire day to myself where I could do anything and everything my heart desired.

1. I would begin my day with an amazing and Instagram-worthy acai bowl from The Good Berry.

Acai bowls are one of my favorite things to eat when I'm craving something sweet but also healthy-plus, they're just absolutely beautiful to look at and photograph! One of my favorite places to get an acai bowl is at The Good Berry located on Madison Street. The Good Berry allows you to choose from an assortment of toppings so as to personalize your acai bowl, while also offering a wide variety of smoothies, toast, salads, and sandwiches. The fact that The Good Berry is extremely close to campus and decorated so cutely would make it an amazing way to start my day!

2. After breakfast I would go to the Maclay Gardens State Park for a walk and photo-op!

Walking and taking photos are amongst some of my favorite things to do, so the Maclay Gardens State Park is the perfect place to venture to. The gardens include a reflection pool, two short walking paths, a walled garden, a secret garden, and countless flowers and trees, making it a picturesque background for a relaxing stroll.

3. I would make time for a quick mid-afternoon nap in my eno.

My body is the type of body that DEMANDS naps. If my day's too busy to squeeze one in, I become overly cranky to anyone and anything that comes into contact with me-horrible I know. Sadly, I know that as soon as finals come around I'll have no time for naps, so my perfect day will definitely have to have one.

Go to the movies and buy ALL of the candies.

One thing I've missed since coming to school was going to the local movie theater and seeing all of the newest movies-the good and the bad. Watching movies has always been a major part of my upbringing, and for some unknown reason, I don't mind paying the absurd amount of money to see them in theaters. Going to the movies and eating junk food would be an amazing way to relax my mind and forget all things school.

Attempt to finish an entire milkshake from the Sugar Rush Bar.

I am a sugar connoisseur, especially when it comes to over-the-top milkshakes. The Sugar Rush Bar has some of the most amazing and extravagant milkshakes I've ever seen, making them the perfect treat to end the perfect day. If you're not a fan of milkshakes, the Sugar Rush Bar has homemade ice cream, sundaes, and floats, and so much more!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
