This year has flown by! First it was January, then I blinked and it was August and now it's almost December! If I'm honest, I've been listening to Christmas music since October, but I do have some friends and family that aren't as pumped as I am about this season. So, I've created this playlist for your listening pleasure. Pentatonix is one of the best (if not the best) cover bands in the world. Their Christmas albums are always the best for putting you in the Christmas spirit or getting you more pumped for the season if you already are in the spirit.
1. "Hallelujah"
Not only is this one of my favorite songs ever, but their version is so good and always brings me back to the true meaning of Christmas for me. Their harmonies are so beautiful and perfectly fitting, it's impossible to only listen to it once.
2. "O Come, All Ye Faithful"
This upbeat rendition is a perfect modern twist on a classic hymn. It always gets me in the Christmas spirit when I'm feeling down. It gives me such joy and uplifts me if I have the blues.
3. "Silent Night"
Practically the opposite tempo and mood of "O Come, All Ye Faithful," this cover is a calm and peaceful version of "Silent Night." They definitely show off their creative skills and runs during this song, which makes it unique and different.
4. "Mary, Did You Know?"
Being one of my favorite Christmas songs, their version makes me sing along and it's obvious why everyone should have it on their playlist.
5. "The First Noel"
Turning this song to a more upbeat tune has Pentatonix written all over it. Their creative and dynamic runs and harmonies are beautifully conducted for this song and made it spectacular.
6. "That's Christmas To Me"
This song just completely captures everything about Christmas. From the decorations, to the time spent with family and friends. This song is just the heart beat of the Christmas season.
If none of these songs get you in the Christmas spirit even a little, please check to see if your skin is green, because you may be the Grinch.
