Some laws are very controversial, and some are difficult to enforce, but they are emplaced for people, and police officers do their best to make sure that the laws are followed.
Do All Laws Make Sense?

Not only are they established to resolve conflict, but they also help protect the public. However, some laws seem questionable for there purpose.
- In Missouri, it is prohibited to frighten a baby.
- If you're searching for some tasty doughnut holes in Nebraska, you won't find any.
- Watching a professional game in Rhode Island would be impossible.
- In North-Carolina, it is illegal to sing off-key.
- It would be easy to have a nice view of a sunset in Hawaii without any billboards blocking the view.
- In Louisiana, making false promises is illegal. I am sure that it would be difficult to enforce this law.
- In Illinois, it is illegal to give whiskey to your dog.
- In Connecticut, a pickle is not a pickle unless it bounces.
- In Florida, skateboarding without a license is illegal.
- And thankfully, in Arizona, it is illegal to deny someone a glass of water.
There are many other crazy laws, and knowing them may prevent you from getting ticketed, so before you travel, make sure you are updated on state-specific laws and federal laws. While there are strange state-specific laws, there are also strange federally illegal laws.
- 18 U.S.C. §1857 makes it a federal crime to knowingly let your pig enter a fenced-in area on public land where it might destroy the grass.
- 18 U.S.C. §1865 & 36 C.F.R. §2.15(a)(4) make it a federal crime to let your pet make a noise that scares the wildlife in a national park, so you better ensure you have a whistle I suppose.
- 27 U.S.C. §§205, 207 & 27 C.F.R. §4.64(a)(8) make it a federal crime to advertise wine in a manner that suggests it has intoxicating qualities.
- 15 U.S.C. §§330a & 330d make it a federal crime to attempt to change the weather without telling the Secretary of Commerce. Which, I am not sure that the weather can even be altered.
- 27 U.S.C. §207, §205(e) & 27 C.F.R. §4.39(a)(9) make it a federal crime to sell wine with a brand name, including the word "zombie."
