With numerous hit shows streaming on Netflix, it's easy to forgo some of the more obscure ones in favor of what everyone else is watching. But, watching only what's trending on recommend can mean you're missing out on some amazing television-- such as "Peaky Blinders." It's a show that's truly one of a kind, and one that belongs on your to watch list.

1. Gangster stories are the best stories

From "Goodfellas" to "The Godfather," some of our societies most beloved dramas revolve around gangsters. Whether it's because of the fascinating lives they lead, or because we love to love the villain, there's something special about such

2. The cast is amazing

You've probably never heard of any of the actors, but they all give amazing performances. Unlike its American counterparts, BBC isn't afraid of casting people who don't fit into the narrow, conventional definition of what an actor should look like. And because of this, the talent they produce is unmatched.

3. Especially, Cillian Murphy

Words can't accurately portray the brilliance of Cillian Murphy, AKA Thomas Shelby, in "Peaky Blinders". From the subtle but particular way, he smokes his cigarettes, to the mysterious aura that accompanies each time he appears on the screen. Every action he makes is so well plotted, it's as if he's more apart of the "Peaky Blinders" universe than our own.

4. The set and costume designs are outstanding

The 1920s was an area of innovative fashion and poor living conditions; something that changes with the characters and the years. With every season comes a new style and new way of living.

5. It addresses some of society's most taboo topics

No spoilers, but if you can picture something terrible happening to a person, it occurs throughout the course of the show. Set in the wake of World War I, most all of the characters bare scars from the war, and those that don't accumulate their own later on.

6. And does so without being overshadowed by its dark moments

Sometimes addressing taboos can overshadow the rest of what's occurring throughout the show. But that's not the case in "Peaky Blinders."

7. It never gets boring

While six episodes a season can be infuriating if you're obsessed with a show, it gets rid of the need for any filler content. This allows for a fast-paced, plot packed season every season and a show where every episode matters.

8. And you never know what's going to happen next

It could be exploding baby carriages, jewel heists, or even the arrival of Russian royalty.

9. Or who can be trusted

In the seedy world of 1920s Birmingham, the Shelby's find time and time again that no one can be trusted. Former allies, friends and even family readily turn against them for money and power.

10. It'll make you question your own morals

Few shows could make its audience root for people whose namesake comes from their tendency to blind people with razor blades. While the Shelby's prove themselves to be, at best, a violent albeit devoted group, it's impossible not to love them.

11. And ask yourself why everyone hasn't seen this show

Seriously, it may just the be the most underappreciated show you can stream right now. So regardless of whether or not you think this a show for you, it's worth watching at least the first episode. With an action-packed plot, brilliant writing and fascinating characters, you won't be bored.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
