Yes, you are only going around the block, but the majority of car accidents happen 1 mile away from your home.
5. Good luck on your test
You have been studying days for your last calculus test that will make or break your grade in the class; this positive reinforcement that you can achieve that A!
6. Have a great day!
Of course it is raining on a Monday, you woke up late, your hair just won’t cooperate and you just spilt coffee all over your new Anthropologie top, but hey, have a great day, it only can get better from here!
7. Call me if you need me
Calling your parent is definitely your last resort, but it always great to know they are only a phone call away and ready to help if needed.
8. You can do it!
When the possible seems actually impossible, and the goal is unattainable, this is the statement that reinforces that someone believes in you.

The just checking to make sure you're "alive and well" question.

This statement is positive reinforcement that gives you the confidence to achieve the goal at hand.

It is inevitable that you will not always make the right choice, but it is important to recognize when you are making the wrong one.

This is the question you need at the moment. You have been waiting to vent all day, and it is definitely the worst day in history and you need someone on your side.
13. I am proud of you
This is probably the best statement to ever receive. Knowing that your parents are proud of what you accomplished is one of the greatest satisfactions.
14. No you cannot go
This is one of the most aggravating statements to receive. After careful planning and constructing the best possible plan to have a weekend getaway with your friends, your parents crush your plans.
15. No you cannot wear that
That skintight yellow dress that you want to wear to the homecoming dance is not flattering and someone needed to tell you.
16. No you cannot go to that concert
Going to a rap concert at age 15 with just your best friend is definitely not the place for a young teenager to be, wait until you are a little older.
17. NO!
Hearing the word “no” absolutely stinks, but there is a reason why your parents do not want you to do something. They are not trying ruin your life, even though it feels like it in the moment
