Opposites Attract

We're two of a kinda alike.

We're so alike, but so different in many ways. However, that's a part of what makes us such great friends. As cliche as it is, you're the yin to my yang. Here's a list of all the ways our semi opposite personalities balance each other out.

1. We introduce each other to new things constantly.

Since we share some common and uncommon interests, we show each other new things that we otherwise wouldn't find. A perfect example of this is the post-hardcore bands we loved so much in middle school.

2. We have different perspectives.

Although different views often lead to a lot of arguments, in our case it's the opposite. It leads to more discussions and new solutions to our problems.

3. We keep each other in check.

In other words, when one of us gets a bit too outspoken, the other helps her pipe down a notch.

4. We don't argue over food.

Since you're a vegetarian and all, there's no chance of you stealing my chicken fingers. P.S. I'm sorry I took too much dipping sauce.

5. You help me to be less afraid.

I love watching horror films with you because you've already seen them all so you tell me if the dog dies or if I'll lose sleep over it.

6. You make me a part of new adventures I wouldn't otherwise find.

Our most recent was investigating what happened or didn't happen to Marina Joyce. We got more in depth than Mystery Inc.

7. We teach each other new things each and every day.

Thanks again for explaining Pokemon Go to me!

8.You tell me what I need to hear, but had no idea I did.

You've helped me see the light SO MANY times.

9. There's never a dull day when we're spending time together.

There's always a new adventure!

10. We always find a way to show each other appreciation one way or another.

Love you, gal pal!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
