An Open Letter To My College Friends Over The Summer

Dear College Friends,

Our time apart is going to be very hard to adjust to. Going from seeing all of you everyday and eating basically every meal with you guys to not seeing any of you has been quite difficult. I thought the adjustment wouldn't be that hard but it has been so difficult. I miss our spontaneous adventures and all of our crazy antics. I miss our fun weekends and our lazy Sundays. I miss just being with you guys.

I feel so complete when I'm with all of you in a place that has quickly become one of my favorite places in the world. There is never a dull moment when we are all together. As I sit here writing this alone on my couch with my dog and my TV, I wish more and more that we were back at school laughing and enjoying being together.

Sure, y'all annoy me about 90 percent of the time, but I wouldn't want to be annoyed by anyone else but all of you. I know we will see each other over the summer and we will make fun memories visiting in our hometowns, but nothing beats the completely insane and amazing memories that we have all made together over the past school year.

I love you guys more than any other people and I know that these few months will feel like nothing between us. Maybe some space will make us enjoy the times we have spent together just a little bit more. I miss you guys so much and I know I will see you all really soon.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
