Best friends are hard to come by, especially best friends of the opposite gender. However, finding someone that you know will end up being in your life for a very long time is a very happy feeling. People say guys and girls can't truly be best friends, but I beg to differ. I am so lucky to have this guy in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Dear Best Guy Friend,
Thank you for sticking by my side through thick and thin. You have have seen me at my best and at my worst, and we have only grown closer. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have you in my life. You are a role model, someone I look up to, and someone I can go to with any issue knowing that you'll support me regardless.
You have such a kind heart. I know that whether I come to you with school problems, boy problems, or anything really, that you will be there to listen. Thank you for always being honest with me. I trust and value your opinion and it means a lot to know that you always have my back. There is no judgement when I come to you for advice.
Thank you for not lessening our friendship because I am a girl. I will always appreciate our trips to Buffalo Wild Wings and trips to the pet store to play with the puppies. I love our TV and movie nights and the fact that we can bond over shows like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Parks and Recreation. I love that you can come over any time to have a "who can make a better omelette contest", that we can toss a football back and forth, or I can teach you how to cartwheel.
You are TRULY one of the BEST people in my life. Even though we are at different schools for the first time in 4 years, I know that our friendship isn't ending anytime soon. I have complete faith and confidence that no matter where we live, what we're doing, or how long we go without talking, we will always stay friends. I know that you will always be there for me and I will always be there for you.
Thank you for being my #1 fan. Your support means the world to me. Whether you are cheering me on at high school halftime performances, encouraging me to post videos of my ukulele covers, or writing articles, it all means so much. I can't tell you how much I appreciate every little thing you do for me. Thank you for texting and calling me on my long walks home from the library, and for checking in on me every now and then and sending an "I miss you" Snapchat. Thank you for always making me laugh, you're the best at cheering me up.
I am so blessed and lucky to have you as my best friend.
