Well, hello there!
When we met, what seems like forever ago, we were young and foolish. We thought we were cool with our pin straight hair and late night trips to the ball fields. We thought that we were real adults with our brand new license's. We had the world in the palms of our hands. We were young, wild, and free. I had been praying and hoping to find my forever friend for years. The friend who would be the god mother to my children, who would be my maid of honor, and the best friend who would go through everything with me. Little did I know then, you are that friend. Since the day we met, we have been through many boyfriends, bad hairstyles, and even moving off to college.
You are the Blair to my Serena, the Shep to my Cam, and the Veronica to my Betty. Name a better duo than us, I'll wait. You and I are complete opposites and that is why we work so well. I like getting my hair done and you don't. You like working out, and I don't. We give each other the best of both worlds. I love you and all your realistic glory. You bring me down to earth when I have diva moment, and I bring up to the clouds when you are being just a little too practical. We are a perfect match. The best thing about our friendship is that in my opinion, the universe had a plan for us. We were bound to meet at some point and to be honest, there were more than likely times in which we were in the same exact room. The amount of mutual friends and small circles we both run in, we were meant to be best friends.
The fact that we met a vending machine in a high school gymnasium 4 years ago, just baffles me. You have been putting up with me for four years. In those mere 4 years you have become apart of my family. You come to all the holiday dinners and my mom always says you're her favorite daughter. My family assumes you will be with me anytime we are home. I cried leaving for college and you cried, the only time time i've seen you cry, when I came home. Let's be real, you have a soft spot for me.
I can't wait for you and I to live life together. I can't wait to get our apartment after we both graduate. I can't wait for us to find the right men and be each other's maid of honors and our children's god mothers. I can't wait for sleepovers in our houses that are only miles away from each others. I can't wait for holidays and birthdays, and all of your special events. You have seen me at my low, crying over stupid boys who didn't deserve me in the first place, and you have seen me at my peak, realizing my dreams and working for them. You know too many of my secrets and I know way to many of yours for us to stop being best friends.
The one thing that I don't do enough, is thank you. Thank you for dealing with my crazy meltdown moments and my crazy mouth when I'm nervous. Thank you for telling me I'm beautiful inside and out, and making sure I know my worth. Thank you for pushing me to go on dates and to be myself. Thank you for visiting me at school and the many drives around town. Thank you for letting me vent and for letting me tell you my crazy thoughts about marriage and who I'm going to marry. Thank you for listening to me planning and not judging me while I go through my weird phases. Overall, thank you. I love you and I wouldn't want anyone else in my life being my best friend. I love my small town girl like you. I can't wait for forever... I hope you can't either.
XOXO
