To whom it may concern,
You may be going through something in your life right now, and whether you're 16, 26, or 56, it's okay. Being a woman is hard, honestly, and a lot of times we're expected to stay strong for our families, our kids, and our friends. Life doesn't always work that way, though. We experience so many things throughout our lives, and we're all constantly battling something, whether it's personally, financially, economically. Being a female in today's society is difficult, and that's why it's so important to stand together and support one another.
There is so much hate between women these days, and it's actually really sad. Picture yourself at 14 -- imagine hearing a woman talk harshly about another; about how her hair is ratty, or she's "too big" to be wearing that outfit, or how she "dresses like a slut." You begin to wonder if that's how people will talk about you one day. I'll admit, I'm guilty of saying these things about random women on the street I don't even know, and I am ashamed of it. It's time to stop tearing each other down, and start empowering each other. In no ways do I label myself a "feminist," but I firmly believe in women working together and loving each other, because it is not easy to be a woman.
Every female out there should think of herself as beautiful. We spend so much time hating ourselves, and hating on other females that it's nearly impossible to find the good in ourselves. It's time to stop thinking we can't look good because someone else looks better. It's so important to love yourself, and to build yourself up because in today's world, it's very unlikely someone else will do it for you. Maybe we should all realize that we're in this together, and we need to stop criticizing each other for the way we act or look, because everyone is going through something you know nothing about, and tearing people down does absolutely no good. Our generation needs to set an example for younger women, and teach them that treating people badly isn't right. Women are beautiful, amazing creatures, and it's high time we start treating each other like it.
