One Tree Hill has some of the best character developments in some of the characters. My favorite fictional character of all time is from that show. I love the main residents of Tree Hill, North Carolina for different reasons. Here’s the order my favorites fall in.

1. Nathan Scott

Nathan Scott is hands down my favorite fictional character probably ever. He starts out as a jerk but slowly and surely becomes the nicest guy ever. Like everyone, he goes through some rough patches, but with the help of his friends and family he always turns out good again in the end. How much he cares about his family, especially Haley, is amazing and I will always admire that about him.

2. Haley James Scott

The way she managed to change Nathan for the good is admirable. She was also such an amazing friend to Lucas from the start. Brooke started out not being very close to her, but by the end, they were so close. Haley is also such an amazing mom to Jamie. Nathan and Haley will forever be relationship goals.

3. Brooke Davis

Another character that goes through an amazing development. She starts out being the boy crazy rich girl but ends up going through so much and coming out better than ever. She also ends up with Julian who is one of the nicest guys on the whole show and Brooke definitely deserves the nice guy.

4. Peyton Sawyer

Peyton also goes through a lot of tough things in her life but still ends up all right. She and Lucas end up together and start an adorable little family. She also gets her dream job and she is thriving. She doesn't make it higher on the list because she left after season 6.

5. Lucas Scott

For many people, Lucas would be higher on the list. However, he was an actual jerk to Brooke especially. Yeah, he may have been in love with Peyton, but that doesn't give him a free pass to be an asshole. He was at times an outstanding friend to Haley and to Peyton when they were together. He also left after season 6 so we didn't get to see his life unfold with Peyton and their daughter.
