Individual friends often tell their friends to take one step at a time and try not to do everything at once. Taking it one step at a time is the process of tackling the upcoming days one day at a time instead of trying to hurry through and figure it out on your own.
There are many things in life that require steps to take to ensure proper safety. Taking it one step at a time gives you a little more sense of assurance and safety. Take it one day at a time instead of trying to rush through and step by step on the roads to recovery. When you have an illness or something that takes effort to help you to work on it, taking it one step at a time can make a difference instead of rushing through and life is the same way. Sometimes we get so caught up in doing it ourselves that we wind up rushing through life and God wants us to slow down and follow in his footsteps and sometimes that will require us to take it one step at a time down the road of following Christ. Sometimes when we try to take to many steps at a time and wind up falling beneath the load.
Being a follower of God also requires steps that you should take one step at a time instead of trying to rush and the process should be ongoing instead of stopping. So slow down and take it one day at a time and one step at a time.
Job 23: 11 (TNIV) My Feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside.

Psalm 85: 13 (TNIV) Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps.
Proverbs 16:9 In their hearts human beings plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.
Take it one day at a time and one step at a time to Follow in the footsteps of Christ. A-men.
