"I will always find you" were the last words Emma spoke to Killian as he went down to the underworld. But will they be reunited?
"Once Upon A Time" returned to continue its fifth season with episode 12, "Souls of the Departed," on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on ABC. Season five left its viewers in a mid-season cliffhanger involving Killian (aka Captain Hook) taking a journey down to the underworld. The mid-season premiere is the journey of Emma, Henry, Mary Margaret, David, Regina, Robin and Mr. Gold traveling to the underworld in attempts to find Hook.
CAUTION: If you continue reading and haven't watched last week's mid-season premiere, there will be spoilers. I would advise watching on ABC's website before continuing this article.
First things first: The group didn't exactly find Killian. They got a glimpse of him for a few fleeting moments but didn't physically locate him. Killian wasn't looking too great and seemed to be in pain, so here's to hoping the March 13 episode includes locating him. But then again, you never know what you'll get from OUAT. Here are the key happenings of this episode.
The crew members find themselves in an underworld that looks nearly identical to the Storybrooke we all know and love, albeit more vandalized and generally not so happy. Plus, the sky is pink.
There was some twin confusion involving James and David and Mary Margaret. She may have smooched the wrong dude.
Mr. Gold had a run-in with his father, Peter Pan. They still aren't too fond of each other, but Pan did give Gold a little gift from DunBroch.
Regina saw both her mother and father and shed some tears when Henry got to meet his namesake.
At the very end of the episode, viewers are introduced to Hades, Ruler of the Underworld (blue flaming hair included).
Remember, anyone who is still stuck in the underworld and hasn't gone anywhere better or worse has unfinished business. This will surely lead to much more drama and I am not expecting any of the crew to hop on a boat back to the regular Storybrooke any time soon! Watch "Once Upon A Time" Sunday nights at 8|7c on ABC.
