10 Reasons Why It's Okay To Be An Old Soul In Your 20's

"Old souls feel more deeply, suffer more nearly, see more clearly and love more freely. My heart is a thousand years old, I am not like others."

1. You're aware of the effect you have on the world around you.

2. You have high expectations from everyone you meet. This means you don't waste time trying to get people to like you; you know who you want, and don't want, in your life.

3. You have extremely close relationships with older people in your life. Grandparents, coworkers, teachers, family friends, they're all able to connect with you.

4. Socializing is great and all, but sleep and time to yourself is cherished. Calm, quiet, alone time is a must.

5. Your ego is irrelevant to your life; giving back is more your style. You think about others way more than yourself, but this is what you want.

6. You know who you are and what you want. Many young people only think about day to day but, no -- you're a planner, and the future is vividly pictured.

7. You understand the importance of family. Your family is your first priority, they mean the most.

8. You're most likely the "mom" of the group that people come to for advice or comfort.

9. Communication is something you are great at and fond of, it's how you show your love.

10. In every aspect of your life you strive to see the good in the world, negativity is very off-putting.

Being an old soul with a young heart is a rare and beautiful combination. Don't hide the fact the you are unique. Many 20-somethings fail to grasp the greater picture, and what really makes life worth living. The old souls of this world already have it figured out.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
