If you haven't heard, ABC's "Modern Family" is a smashing hit that is currently going on its 7th season. I and many of my friends are avid watchers of the show due to the fact that its humor is easily relatable. This, combined with the fact that Ohio is known for having a vast and large volume of colleges and universities, made me want to relate some of the show's key characters to the schools that we students all hold to high standings in our hearts.

Claire Dunphy: Miami of Ohio

Claire is the loving matriarch of the Dunphy household and she never lets her family forget that she never got to finish college. Miami is the perfect school for Claire because she's just the right mix of preppy and goal oriented. Miami students are widely known to throw down with some crazy parties, making it the perfect balance of academics and fun. It's the ideal college experience if you have the money.

Phil Dunphy: Ohio State University

Phil Dunphy has a big personality, so he needs a big school to match. Phil's parenting style on the show is unorthodox to say the least. Over the seasons, viewers have come to know many of Phil's hobbies, such as male cheerleading and magic tricks. A big school like OSU with many clubs and organizations is probably the only possible choice for a guy like Phil Dunphy to even hope to fit into. Phil is also a real estate agent who relies on his ultra friendly personality, which would be right at home in a big school where being sociable is the best way to get a friend group.

Haley Dunphy: Ohio University

Haley Dunphy likes to party and this is obvious. At a school like OU, parties are as easy to come by as students. Being the "popular" girl in high school, Haley would have no problem fitting in socially with the Bobcat lifestyle. This being said, OU is also a great pick academically. Haley has career aspirations just as much as any other character on the show. While they may not show all the time, a school like OU is just the place that a free spirit like her needs to be at for a few years.

Alex Dunphy: Case Western Reserve University

Alex has always been the nerd of the Dunphy family. That is totally OK, though, because Case is the perfect place for her. The curriculum is tough, the campus is all about learning, and it's all in a small and intimate environment. Case students have fun in their own type of way, knowing that they may not be the best at sports or the rowdiest of party people, but they possess a truly tight-knit family of faculty and students that would incorporate Alex's talents brilliantly.

Luke Dunphy: Cleveland Institute of Art

Luke is, to say the least, an interesting young man. Fans of the show know that for most of the series it seemed like not even Luke knew what he was doing for 90 percent of the time. That being said, Luke has come a long way and a top of the line art school like CIA would be the perfect place full of creative and out-of-the-box people to help him find his calling.

If you relate to any of these characters and you are not yet in college, you may want to check out some of these schools. You may just end up falling in love with one.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
