Superheroes are dominating the box office and also the television set right now. From the much anticipated "Captain America" movie and the "Batman v. Superman" movie, to the hit TV show "The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", superheroes are everywhere. There plenty of superhero figures and video games. Heroes are a part of the American culture, so it would only be fair to put Ohio colleges as heroes.

Ohio Northern University: Batman

ONU students are known to be dynamic and excel in more than one field, much like this caped crusader. Both dedicate themselves to bettering the community through their own actions. Bruce Wayne is hard working and always put others before himself, like the students of ONU. Bruce Wayne is not what he seems like. Many believe him to be something he's not. After you get to know him, you know that you cannot take people's word for it and have found a strong loyalty, like ONU students.

THE Ohio State University: Superman

Famous, known as "cool kids", and champions, it's no surprise these two are matched. Both Superman and OSU come with high standards and well-known profiles. With that fame comes many fans and haters, but they have the means to deal with both. What you hear about Superman is what you get. He is known for his muscles and equal intelligence, like OSU.

Miami University: Iron Man

Tony Stark (Iron Man) is known to be rich and snobby, but intelligent. Miami students have the same reputation. They are known for their competitive nature and studious nature. Both take their learning seriously and have inappropriate humor. Both will rise up to the challenge and leave you in the dust. However, Miami students are very loyal to their friends and their Alma mater, like one Tony Stark.

University of Dayton: The Flash

University of Dayton is known as the friendliest college in Ohio, much like the Flash. Both go out of their way to protect the community. Both are very intelligent and look to better themselves in every way. Barry Allen is one of a kind with his speed and the same can be said for UD's campus. Barry puts his friends and family first and always has a positive outlook on life.

University of Cincinnati: Green Arrow

Oliver Queen is brilliant and is on the rise. He calls himself "dark" and "unrelenting" which can be applied to Cincinnati. Oliver, however, is vigorously changing and brings hope to others. He may have a rough exterior, but once you get past that, he inspires, like students and UC itself. Oliver is loyal to a fault and knows where his roots are.

Cleveland State University: Daredevil

Matt Murdock comes from tragedy. He becomes blind at a young age and his father, a professional fighter, is murdered. Cleveland is known for its darkness and tragedy all on its own. Matt does not give up, neither do CSU students. They don't let crime define them. Native Clevelanders will defend their hometown as Matt Murdock will with Hell's Kitchen.

Ohio University: Thor

Thor is the hunk of the Avengers (although an argument can be made for all of them being the hunks). He is always ready to have a good time with his friends. He is proud of who he is and what he has done. He has it all like OU students: good looks, smarts and a liking for parties. As much as a ladies man Thor is, he is always respectful and goes out and puts 100% into everything. He is loyal to a fault like OU students.

The University of Mount Union: Captain America

Everyone at this university makes you feel at home and makes sure you're comfortable. Steve Rogers will go out of his way to be courteous and is very humble, like Mount Union students. Steve Rogers may have the brawns but he also has the brains. Mount Union is known for their great athletics but their greatness doesn't stop there. Steve can take your breath away with his looks but so can Mount Union. Like the students, Steve always puts 110% into everything he does.

Bowling Green State University: Deadpool

This sassy anti-hero has been getting mega attention right now. Deadpool reflects the sass and skill many BGSU students have. BGSU has many strengths like Deadpool. Deadpool knows how good he is at something and knows when to admit defeat. The only person allowed to insult Deadpool, is Deadpool. Deadpool may have a reputation for cursing and being a menace, but underneath that he is more than that.
