Odyssey, Are You Really Letting Me In?

I simply don't know where my words continue to go as they certainly haven't yet been allowed into the Odyssey.

Odyssey, Are You Really Letting Me In?

Hello? Hello?! HELLO!?! Are my words going out there? Can anybody read me? Hello?

Unlike just about everybody who has submitted something here at Odyssey, I've managed to become some kind of exception TO EVERY RULE written by Odyssey as my profile and me have been removed from a community, then blocked by beta testing and broken technology for approximately three months, despite the twenty plus some emails made by me asking somebody and everybody for tech support. It has all been wildly frustrating, admittedly desperately depressing, and a true pain in the rear to keep up with informing and reworking my multiple fails. Not only that, but it's a story I've written and written again, in desperate attempts to get someone out there to read about the insane way I was fired from a free job – INSTANTANEOUSLY – without a word as to why. However, I suspect that it was because of some texts about emojis. In this case, it was the cats, and oddly enough, it was that curiosity that killed me from my original Odyssey community in February.

Now I've been instructed by another at Odyssey to try it again, and for some SICK, CRAZY reason, I'm going to. Probably because I'm upset at the insane way it all became okay to kick me to the curb without a reasonable word as to why. It is because of this injustice that I continue TO TRY!! Although, I no longer know why. I guess the Odyssey and their promises of being an open, democratic, and free place for writers to share stories with their audience have proven to be too powerful a lure for the hopeful writer in me.

Injustices of the past BE DAMNED! I'm chock-full of words and looking for a place to share. So, again I try!

Okay now, best of luck to you little post! It's time for you to go into this Odyssey profile and I'll wait and see if anything comes of this posting. And please, if anyone out there has read a single word from me, I beg you to do your best to send a word back to me so that I know my message has been received, because currently, I think I'm just filling my own screen with thoughts and stories that no one can see or read.

PS – Here's a little insider info. My first attempt to post this certainly didn't go. Better luck to attempt number two!

PSS – Nope. Not a number two. Perhaps submission number three will work for me!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
