Hello Beautiful. You remind me of sunnier days ahead and make me smile just a little brighter.

I have gone through so many pairs of you throughout my life. My brother tore up his basketball shoes from excessive wear every season, and that is my story with flip-flops.

You are my favorite type of shoe. You are so versatile. I have worn flip-flops while in the house, taking a walk throughout the city, walking on the beach, and so many other places. So many adventures have been had with you on my feet.

Because flip-flops are versatile, there are no two pairs that look the same. I have gotten some with heels, some with glitter, and plenty of the cheap pairs from Walmart. The best part of having a cheap pair is that they're so inexpensive to replace when they wear out. Because y'all will wear out, especially if they are worn like I wear them.

There is such a comfort in wearing flip-flops that have been worn thin. They've been broken in obviously, and a lot of times they are just so comfortable. I actually have a pair right now that are wearing thin, but I still enjoy wearing them. They have been my good-old faithful for so long. I don't wear them out a lot because of the lack of support, but they still have a time and place for use. It is just a different use now.

There are some things I wouldn't wear you while participating in. Mowing grass, hiking, and running are a few activities that do not allow for ample flip-flop use. Y'all are great, but not the best choice for everything. A lot of great potential still exists though.

Throughout my 8 years of marching band, I have experienced a lot of various tan lines. Sock tan lines, shorts tan lines, shirt tan lines, you name it. Even though I wasn't allowed to wear flip-flops while at practice, I still managed to get tan lines from my flip flops while parking cars at the county fair for the band. So, in a way, I can still add flip-flops to my list of band tan lines. Flip-flop tan lines are probably my favorite. I can't help but smile at the memories accompanied by them.

Wearing flip-flops also is a reason to keep my toes painted. My feet always look better with a little bit of polish. I personally don't think anyone's feet is that pretty, but polish definitely helps. Polish reminds me a lot of summer as well, which relates to sunnier days. I attempt to stay on top of it, but with many failures in it. It is an attempt though.

Overall, I dearly love my flip-flops. They are such a comfortable, slip-on shoe that have so many different roles and uses. I have actually more or less enjoyed my flip flop tan lines and the fact that it's a reason to keep my toes painted.

Stay gorgeous my friend.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
