The month of October has been a time of apologetic sound in the music industry. I don't know if the change in weather is causing the distress of these artists or if it is the effect of cuffing season, but whatever it is I like it. The sorrowful music these artists are creating is full of pain, beauty, and love. You can feel the true meaning and hurt behind all of their voices.
Bryson Tiller - "Sorry, Not Sorry"
On October 2nd, the new popular R&B singer Bryson Tiller dropped his album "Trap Soul." The sixth song on the album, "Sorry, Not Sorry," is a pretty self explanatory name. In this song, he apologizing to someone not being the one for him. Although he is apologizing in the lyrics, he is mostly curving the person, which makes his song less of a sentimental one.
Chris Brown featuring Rick Ross - "Sorry"
On October 6th Chris brown released a song named "Sorry" featuring Rick Ross "the Boss." In this song he constantly apologizes for cheating and taking advantage of the trust he was given. Rick Ross continues to explain the temporary thrills of the moments he decides to cheat.
Justin Bieber - "Sorry"
On October 22nd, Justin Bieber dropped a song called "Sorry," that involved a more upbeat sound to it. In this song Bieber acknowledges that he is not good at apologizing, but he still hopes it works. The "What Do You Mean" singer just hopes its not too late to apologize for all of his mistakes.
Adele - "Hello"
It's been over three years since the soulful singer Adele, dropped her hit single "Skyfall." On October 23rd, Adele dropped a song called "Hello" which is an implied apology to the heart she broke years ago. She expresses her desire to meet up with the person, but every time she calls he's "never" home. The lyrics continue to acknowledge that the person is no longer heartbroken over it, but she's it content that she has tried.
