7 Fashion Trends From NYFW That Every Normal College Girl Can Actually Pull Off This Fall

The designers have spoken and New York Fashion Week 2019 has given us trends to become obsessed over (and others that we aren't too fond of).

As college students or young working professionals (killing it, queens!), sometimes NYFW pictures lurking on your Instagram can seem daunting or even depressing. While we're still making a name for ourselves, trendy and affordable fashion can seem as unfindable as a unicorn.

Luckily, NYFW showcased a variety of trendy styles that you may even already have in your closet. While of course, fashion shows come with crazy high hair or multi-colored eye shadows, some trends are actually extremely wearable and easy to pull off, no matter what your style is.

Start reorganizing your closet with these seven wearable trends and get ready to find your best outfit for this fall!

1. Low, Messy Buns

Low messy buns were making a flipping statement at the Rebecca Minkoff show this season, and hallelujah because this is a fashion trend every type of girl can get behind! From class to a corporate office, this easy hairstyle is fit for every occasion. Learn how to replicate it here!

2. Hair Combs

4. English Tweed Stripes

You don't have to find an expensive tweed jacket to pull off this fashion trend. Bring the English vibes to your college campus with some comfy patterned pants and a graphic tee. Check out this look on the runway!

5. Dark Florals

You need a study break, and dark florals are exactly what you need to look as cool as they come once you head to dance your stress away. These dark floral vibes are totally wearable as skirts, tops, dresses, and pants. Check out this look on the runway here!

6. Boiler Suits

I am screaming because I already own one of these babies myself! Boiler suits are the comfiest clothes that can take you from your favorite campus coffee shop to a job interview without even breaking a sweat. Plus, they're super cute! Check them out on the runway!

7. Blazers

I'm obsessed with blazers because if you're the hard-working college girl who bounces from class to work, a blazer can make any college comfy look turn business professional in a snap. These blazers are trendy to wear even in a classroom. Check them out on the runway here!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast ā€œBirthdayā€ on anyoneā€™s birthday. I knew all of the words to ā€œBack In The U.S.S.Rā€ by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. Iā€™m not someone to ā€œfangirlā€ but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
