Note to self: Work to live, don't live to work
When you are at work, give it your all. Work hard for the Lord and be good to your co-workers. There will be times you have to bring work home, just don't let it become a habit. Work so that you can live, but don't let your work become your life.
Note to self: Go to church
Even when you are tired and don't feel like it. Even when you have to go alone. Missing everyone once in awhile happens, but don't make a habit out of it. God is with you everywhere, but make sure to visit Him at His house too.
Note to self: Take care of your body
Eat right and work out. It's hard and it sucks sometimes, but you only get one body so take care of it. Have ice cream every once in awhile too though, it's good for the soul.
Note to self: Buy that hedgehog you've always wanted
If you haven't gotten that cute little hedgie yet, do it now!!! Life is short, get the hedgehog.
Note to self: Call your family
We all get busy, but you need make time to call your mom, dad, and sisters. Even though you are independent now and have a life of your own, you still need them and you always will.
Note to self: Keep learning
Never pass up an opportunity to learn something new. You can never learn too much or know everything. Be willing to share your knowledge with others too.
Note to self: Travel
I hope you are visiting or have plans to visit all the places you want to. Don't wait! Start saving your money and book a trip.
Note to self: Stand up for what you believe in
Your beliefs matter. Don't be afraid to stand up for what is right and just. Make sure you do it in a kind way but do it.
Note to self: Be honest and kind
Honesty and kindness will carry you through life. You are going to mess up and make mistakes, everyone does, but if you are honest and kind people will be forgiving.
Note to self: A smile goes a long way
Smile at strangers on the street, at your co-workers in the office, at the cashier scanning your groceries. Show off those teeth your parents paid for to get straight. It's the simplest way to spread joy and love.
Note to self: Make time to watch the sunset
Netflix is a great thing, but nothing compares to spending your evening watching the sun fade away. Make sure you make time once a week to spend an evening watching God paint the sky.
Note to self: Choose love
If you found it, hold onto it. If you haven't, keep searching. Don't give up on trying to find it.
Note to self: Worrying won't change the outcome
It never has and never will. You've made it this far. Everything will work out, it always has.
