I rely on the power of my Spotify playlists to get me through an average week at school. My Broadway playlist is my go to in times where I need inspiration, to find something to relate to, or just to let loose after a long day.

Broadway has the ability to make me cry, laugh, smile, hope, love, and capture every other emotion us college students feel on any given week.

Here are 10 songs that I believe capture what its like to be a college student during a busy week, and I hope you can relate to them just as much as I have.

Monday: "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" -- Dreamgirls

Oh Monday. The day that no matter how many hours of sleep you got the night before, you find it desperately hard to get out of your nice, cozy bed to go to your first class of the week. Jennifer Hudson's face when she sings this song?

Yeah, I feel that. Monday is this song because you embody J Hudson's strength when it comes to how badly you want to stay in bed and avoid responsibility. "There's no way I could ever go, no no no no way".

Jenn understands how hard it is to come to terms with a new week and how you're already stressing about the assignments and tests you don't even know about yet.

Stay fierce though. Props to Jenn for being a strong young woman who stands up for what she wants, and I hope you all find that in yourselves every Monday. You can slay Monday as hard as JHudson slays this power ballad.

From here on out, each day gets at least two songs because depending on how your week is going, the song you relate to could vary. It's like Choose Your Own Adventure out here. I hope you enjoy both sides of an average college week.

Tuesday: "Maybe This Time" -- Cabaret

Much like Kristen Chenowith's guest character on Glee, you're ambitious to win this Tuesday. You're taking all the right steps to make sure you're the next on top.

Accounting test? You're gonna ace it. Spanish essay? There's an A coming your way. 10-page paper? Grind on. "Maybe this time, I'll win"? More like this time, you will win.

Tuesday has nothing on you, and you're using this day to transform yourself into the superstar you know you could be. One day closer to the weekend, am I right?

Tuesday: "Breathe" -- In The Heights

Much like Nina, you're feeling the stress. You're worried about not making the best grades, disappointing your parents, losing your scholarships, and imagining every other bad situation that could happen to you right now.

Not to mention, the pile of homework you already had has somehow managed to get twice as big as it was 10 minutes ago. But take Nina's advice and just breathe. As hard as things are right now, you'll figure things out. You can do this.

Wednesday: "Mama I'm a Big Girl Now" -- Hairspray

No matter where you're from or how far away the school you attend is from your home, you don't go a week without hearing from your mom. Sometimes mom's can be really cool and help you out with ideas for projects, live advice, or financials. But a lot of times our mom's call us to nag us about something we haven't done yet.

Phone calls from our moms tend to come in the middle of the week because they still believe we have the time to change what we haven't done, but chances are we're too busy for that.

As much as our moms are our best friends, sometimes we feel like telling them that we're adults and we can handle it on our own. Thank you mom and I love you, but I'm a big girl and can handle this. But keep sending that money if you want ;)

Wednesday: "Non-Stop" -- Hamilton

Alas, the most Wednesday song of them all. Not only do I have 6 hours of nonstop class on Wednesday, but I find that Wednesdays are always busy no matter what.

Because it is the middle of the week, there's still enough time for tests and quizzes even though your brain is already thinking about what you're doing this weekend.

Channel your inner Alexander Hamilton and write like you're running out of time because you're going to have to get a lot of work done today in order to have a fun rest of your week. Go write your own deliverance.

Thursday: "One Day More" -- Les Miserables

For those of you who know your Broadway, you had to have known this was coming. Fight Thursday like its the French Revolution because you're so close to victory, aka the weekend. If you've got work to do, grind through it. If you don't take care of yourself so you can have the weekend you deserve. One more dawn. One more day. One day more.

Thursday: "Take Me or Leave Me" -- Rent

In college, the weekend starts on Thursday for those of us who are lucky enough to not have anything on Friday. If this is you, I want you to hit the town like you own the place. Much like Idina Menzel and Tracie Thoms, you are independent and deserved to be loved for who you are despite the week you have had. Go out and live it up.

Thursday: "Waving Through a Window" -- Dear Evan Hansen

If you're anything like me, you always end up in the classes where you have test/quizzes/assignments on Friday.

For us, I have chosen Waving Through a Window from Dear Evan Hansen because we feel like we're waving at our friends who have the luxury of going out and enjoying their Thursday night as we sit here learning how to understand the politics of six different nations all at once.

We feel as lonely and unloved as Evan does because we are forced to watch those around us have fun while we stay inside. Things work out for Evan at the end of the musical, so I hope they work out for you too at the end of this week.

Friday: "Don't Rain On My Parade" -- Funny Girl

As one of the most popular songs to ever be performed, there is nothing that describes your Friday like Barbara Streisand (or Lea Michele, depending on which version you prefer) to get you going.

Nothing can bring you down no matter how hard it tries to, and there's not a cloud in sight to ruin the super fun weekend you have ahead of you. Celebrate hard, you deserve it.

Friday: "96,000" -- In The Heights

This Friday, you better party up like you won the lottery from In The Heights. Act like you're going to take that $96,000 prize and go to town with it. You may regret it the next week, but after the week you've had, it's justifiable. Happy Friday, and have an amazing weekend!!

There you have it! I hope you were able to relate to at least one day this week, and definitely, stay tuned for more Broadway articles because I love it too much.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
