Meet the new Steve Lacy.

Not to be confused with the late, famous jazz saxophonist Steve Lacy. Now-18 Year-old Steve Lacy is the guitarist for R&B/Neo-Soul-ish band The Internet. The Internet have been a group since 2011 with their debut album "Purple Naked Ladies." The group began as a duo between producer/singer Matt Martians and singer Syd Tha Kid.

These two have been in the group ever since its start and throughout the years various different musicians have come in and out of the group. On the group's second studio album "Feel Good" they introduced new members like Tay Walker, Christopher Smith, Patrick Paige and even had a little help from the very talented bassist Thundercat. In the process of making their third studio album The Internet received help from successful artists such as Janelle Monáe, rapper Vic Mensa, producer KAYTRANADA, singer/producer James Fauntleroy and rapper/singer/producer Tyler, The Creator. This was by far the largest lists of guests The Internet had ever included onto a project. However, it was the changes to the core of the band that ended up leaving the largest impact on the record. Two new members were added to the group; keyboardist Jameel Bruner, who is Thundercat's younger brother, and then-17 year-old guitarist Steve Lacy.

The Internet's third studio album "Ego Death" was vastly different sonically than the first two. From Purple Naked Ladies' electronic, upbeat feel, to Feel Good's slowed-down, soulful sound, Ego Death has a summer-time vibe that is full of bright chords and a mainly up-tempo rhythm. A lot of this can be directly attributed to Steve Lacy. Steve is listed as the co-executive producer on the album and has 8 direct prouder credits on the 12-track album. His rich guitar chords are extremely prevalent throughout the album especially on songs "Gabby," "Under Control" and "Penthouse Cloud."

However, Steve is much more than just a guitarist. He has shown on his SoundCloud profile that he is quite the talented producer as well. His most popular song "C U GiiiiiiiiRL" has over half a million plays and is available on iTunes. Despite its short length just a hair over two minutes, it was one of my personal favorite songs from a talent-packed 2015. In his solo work he has shown that he is a very competent singer, bass player as well as keyboardist in addition to his guitar skills. Lacy displayed his producing skills on Ego Death on the song "Curse." This was one of my favorite songs off of the album. It features the instrumental track done by Steve Lacy, with keys from Jameel Bruner, as well as vocals from Steve, Matt Martians and Syd Tha Kid. It is an epic ending to an epic album.

The Internet was nominated for "Best Urban Contemporary Album" at this year's 58th Annual Grammy Awards and fell short to R&B superstar "The Weeknd." Now with a seemingly solid group in place, The Internet seems that they can only go up from here on out. I am certainly looking forward The Internet's future works but I am almost a little more excited to a possible Steve Lacy solo project. The Fader did an article on him back in April where you can get more information on his personal life and how he joined The Internet. The kid just turned 18 and graduated high school so now he will have more time on his hands to turn his focus solely towards music.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
