11 Tasty Spots For Your New Jersey Food Bucket List

11 Tasty Spots For Your New Jersey Food Bucket List

As many of us probably are, I am home for the summer, so that means making the most of it. Here are some of the places I am planning to get to before I head back to school.

1. Playa Bowls

Everyone knows Acai bowls are pretty much the most Insta-worthy food. Plus there is no better time to eat a smoothie bowl than summer. Also, fun fact, their slogan is #GoBowlsDeep.

2. Brother Bruno's Pizza, Deli, and Bagels

Brother Bruno's may seem like just your normal New Jersey pizza joint but looking at their menu will definitely change your mind. They make and kind of pizza you could want, and will even let you add mozzarella stick on top. And to sweeten the deal, their menu includes dessert pizza.

3. La Vie en Rose Bakery Cafe


If there is one thing that girls from NJ and NY love, it is brunch. La Vie en Rose offers and amazing brunch selection. Their menu also includes all other meals, but who wouldn't choose brunch, duh.

4. Montclair Bread Co.


These doughnuts pretty much haunt my Instagram explore feed. They offer a selection of basic, and specialty doughnuts, something to please everyone. Be sure to keep an eye out for holiday themed doughnuts as well.

5. Cafe Anello


I have never had a real crepe, I know, shocker. Cafe Anello has a menu of crepes that make me desperately want to try one though. Not to mention their amazing looking coffee and beverage options.

6. Krispy Kreme

Okay, I know this one is not very original, but I have been told a fresh and hot Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut is a life-changing experience, AKA I need to eat one.

7. Rook

Another New Jersey Instagram classic is Rook coffee. Rook Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee company, that you guess it, roasts their own beans. How could it not be bomb?

8. The Committed Pig

Another place with a drool-worthy brunch menu and burger menu. Who doesn't love a burger and fries? Especially with the twists that the Committed Pig puts on them.

9. Farmhouse Cafe and Eatery

This one is sort of cheating as I have been here before, but I have not had their breakfast. If their breakfast is anything as good as their lunch and dinner menu, you will be in for a treat.

10. The Corner

I like to pretend that I am a health nut like once a week, so when I saw that The Corner pressed their own juices I was in. Plus, again, I live for brunch.

11. Glaze Doughnuts

Pretty obvious at this point that I am a total sucker for doughnuts, being that there are three places on this list, oh well. Glaze Doughnuts are more of a cake doughnut, compares to yeast doughnuts at other places they are denser and richer, so it is totally different and necessary.
