During the era of the Wii U, Nintendo was often overlooked as an insignificant gaming company, one that was no longer at the forefront of the industry. Some even exclaimed that Nintendo should consider retiring or maybe move on to mobile gaming. However, as of recent Nintendo has shown that it is still the king of gaming and the one that all others pay respect to.

1. They are the most creative and willing to take risks that others won't

If there's one company that doesn't play it safe, it's Nintendo. They're always trying to change the industry in a radical way, and while it might not always work out (looking at you, Wii U) the fact that a company behaves like that is a treat on its own. With insane game changers such as the Wii and now the Nintendo Switch, and hell even Nintendo Labo, Nintendo's creativity never ceases to amaze.

2. They probably have the best and most iconic exclusives

If there's one face in gaming that everyone on the planet knows, it's Mario. Coupled with other behemoths such as Link, Samus, Donkey Kong and Kirby, Nintendo has managed to create some of the most iconic and influential video games in the entire industry. With recent hits like "Super Mario Odyssey" and "Breath of the Wild", Nintendo is showing that they haven't lost any steam in that regard.

3. They're the reason gaming is here today

The gaming community has and always will hold a certain level of respect for Nintendo due to just how much they have contributed to the industry. Nintendo saved the industry in the late 1900s at a time when people were quickly losing interest in gaming, and for that, they will forever be cherished. While they might have their ups and downs, Nintendo has the ability to just put in a little extra magic in games that other companies can't quite seem to reciprocate.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
