Rihanna is a queen walking among us. She is beautiful, philanthropic, she has excellent style and is well-rounded. She breaks the rules, lives with the consequences and lives her truth every single day.

Here are some of the many reasons to love Rihanna and all that is her.

1. She is from the Caribbean.

As someone from the Caribbean myself, this point may be the most biased point in this listicle. Caribbean people are full of vibes, good energy and always know how to have a good time. Rihanna is no different. She celebrates who she is, where she is from and her background as a girl growing up on the left side of Barbados.

She truly shows off her Caribbean/Bajan side when she gets all dressed up for Crop Over. Just look at her and all those bright and beautiful colors and tell me you wish you weren’t from the Caribbean!

2. Girl’s got pipes.

She can truly sing, and she’s gotten even better as the years have passed. She sings with soul and so much emotion. You get the opportunity to experience and feel everything she sings about. ‘Love on the Brain,’ ‘Higher,’ ‘What Now?’ Need I say more?

3. She is a fashion icon.

She looks good in EVERYTHING… or better yet, she makes everything look good. When does Rihanna never look good? She always looks like she is ‘Phresh off the Runway.” I’m sure she could make a plastic bag look fantastic if she wore it.

4. She can’t wink to save her life.

5. She is the queen of Met Galas.

Who else would wear a 55-pound dress to the Met and walk about like it is as light as air? All of her Met Gala looks were insane, from the 2015 Canary-Yellow gown with an extremely long train to her Comme des Garçons dress that she wore last year that looked more like art than a dress. Tell me otherwise.

6. Her attitude is everything.

7. She created Fenty Beauty.

All girls, colored, pale and everyone in between were considered when she released her Fenty Beauty makeup product line back in September of 2017. Everyone was welcomed with open arms and celebrated with the launch because people, much like me who could hardly find a shade for their skin were experiencing heaven for the first time. It’s 100% cruelty-free too, so if your beloved pets wanted a shade, they could probably find one.

8. She's a humanitarian.

She is passionate about education and works with people and organizations around the world to better the education system on a global level.

9. Most importantly, she is a life coach.

You’ll never catch her slipping. Somehow, she always manages to not fall into a hole even when she wears the tiniest of heels. So, be like Rihanna, keep your head up, walk on the edge, do good, be kind and never get caught slipping.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
