If you were a child between the years 2005 and 2008, it is very likely that you often spent your days with your eyes glued to the T.V. screen whenever Nickelodeon’s classic show Zoey 101 was on.
The series was centered on a girl named Zoey Brooks (played by Jamie Lynn Spears) and the crazy antics of her group of inseparable friends as they attended what can only be described as every kids dream school: Pacific Coast Academy. The show sadly ended when the characters inevitably had to graduate, but one question lurked in everyone's minds after that final episode: did Zoey really end up with her lovable, curly-haired best friend Chase?
Well, Nickelodeon just released a video online depicting Chase (who was played by Sean Flynn) running into his best friend Michael (played by Christopher Massey) as adults, years after they’ve left PCA. Michael approaches Chase at an inconvenient time with a DVD: a video in which Zoey revealed her true feelings for Chase.
In case you don’t remember, in season two of the series Zoey created a video that she then put into a time capsule: Chase then unsuccessfully tried to retrieve it. Therefore, she promised that instead of telling him the contents of the video after 20 years (when the capsule was originally supposed to be opened) she would tell him in ten years.
Ten years have now past, and the events that unfold in the video regarding Zoey’s confession are almost too perfect; especially for those of us who have long since missed the genuine quality of television Nickelodeon was creating at the time that this childhood-gem was aired. The use of the original actors and the same cutesy humor we loved in the series make this video everything we could have hoped for in a continuacion of the show, even if it is only above two minutes long.
