How does one even begin to create a New Year's Resolution that you can actually stick to. I always think dramatic like, " I will work out every day" , but that one never happens. I decided to make this list of "New Year's Resolutions" that never work out for me, and my reasoning behind them.
"Stop ordering take-out"
What am I suppose to do when I watch Netflix?
"Go to the Gym"
I do go to school in the mountains and I walk to class, that has to be enough working out right?
"Don't miss any class"
But, there's Netflix, hiking, my dog, food, and friends I could be doing stuff with...
"Get on Facebook less."
Well what else am I suppose to do in class or when I am trying to avoid people on the bus?
"Make more friends."
Whats wrong with the friends I have?
"Keep my room clean."
As long as I know where everything is, it will be okay.
Why do I tell myself every year that I am going to do each and everyone of these things? It never seems to happen. I can accomplish all sorts of things but I struggle the most with these. Well, wish me good luck this year, because I am going to try to knock these things out again.
