It is officially Virgo season! And of course, many of my favorite artists have decided to bless me and all the other Virgos whose birthdays are between August 29 to September 13th with new releases. It is truly an exciting time to be alive. Without much further ado here are four artists who are releasing new music over the next three weeks. And if you don't know any of these artists I highly recommend checking them out.

SASAMI - Take Care / Free

On August 28 Sasami Ashworth who professionally goes by SASAMI announced two new singles will be released the next day. Which is today! One single is a new song called Take Care it is similar to the songs off her debut album which was released earlier this year. The second song Free is a new version of one of the singles from the album which has a full band arrangement for anyone who wants to learn how to play it. These songs were released to celebrate Sasami going on one year as a solo artist, she was the synth player in the rock band Cherry Glazerr for a couple of years. Sasami's music fits what my roommate calls "an aesthetic fit for a road trip in the 90s" which is a bit slower and easy listening.

Lana Del Rey - Norman F**king Rockwell

Lana Del Rey's fifth full-length studio album Norman Fucking Rockwell is being released tomorrow August 30. The album will have a few singles that Del Rey has released over the past year including songs" Mariners Apartment Complex, Venice Bitch (my personal favorite) and Doin' Time which is a Sublime cover. This album has Lana incorporating a more "surfer sound" with more of what I'll call west coast easy living vibes" As an LDR fan since the Born To Die-Paradise Edition days I am excited to hear what else she has to offer.

Melanie Martinez - K-12

It has been a long four years since Melanie Martinez has released her debut album Cry Baby. On September 6th the long wait for her sophomore album ends. (Also this is my birthday which makes it extra exciting) K-12 is not only an album but also a feature film directed by Martinez. The album continues the story from the debut but has a new main character trying to take down an oppressive school system. Not much is known about the plot of the film and the album as Martinez has been very secretive about it. Along, with none of the songs from the album has been released yet, only snippets on her Instagram. It is very exciting to see how this artist has developed musically and artistically after such a long break between albums.

Grimes - Unnamed Single

Grimes is a pop artist who a few months back announced her new album Miss_Anthrop0cene or Miss_Anthropocene back in March and there has not been much word on when the album is coming out, but early this month Grimes on her Instagram posted a video of her modeling some items from the Adidas x Stella McCartney collab and in the description all it has is "Miss Anthropocene First Single - Sept 13" with a microphone emoji. With what little I know about this new concept album it is safe for me to say that maybe this first single would give is an idea of more to come,

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
