Chipotle's Food Nightmares Are Back

After what seemed like a comeback for Chipotle, they are now circling the drain again.

Chipotle's Food Nightmares Are Back

Chipotle was a pop culture phenomenon.

Everyone liked it, and it appealed to the new generation, because it was like fast food that made you feel healthy while you were eating it. It was doing great in the stock market, hitting $700, increasing its franchises, making improvements, and pleasing society with its non-GMO ingredients and no preservatives.

However, the E. coli outbreak came around. Many people got sick, in many different states, which lead to public outrage and shaming of Chipotle and giving it a very bad reputation. Their stock dropped more than 50-60% all the way to 300, even a bit lower, from $700. People stopped going to Chipotle for a while, all because of this food incident. And there have been a couple of other food scares since then.

But, new Chipotle Brian Niccol has been working to put that in the past, creating better lines, more robust online services such as ordering, and limited time Chipotle deals such as free guacamole on certain days. free deliveries with Doordash, and buy one get one free deals for people such as teachers and nurses on some days.

And for a second, the mass majority of people forgot about all the food safety issues of the past.

Even their stock brought its way to 470, and has been a Wall Street favorite. Until this week. On the site, iwaspoisined.com, users reported getting sick at a Chipotle restaurant in Powell, Ohio, and there were hundreds of reports, which got Chipotle so freaked that they closed that location for the day.

But news got out, and the stock fell 7% in one day, and recieved even more bad PR. So, if Chipotle doesn't go through a revolution, any kind of revolution, it may slip into the back of people's minds.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
