Netflix, one of the top streaming apps with a wide variety of series and movies for anyone to enjoy. From horror that leaves everyone keeping their bedroom lights on, to comedic tv series having children share a giggle with their parents. Netflix offers numbers of shows and movies for their customers to enjoy. Recently the company released one of their originals about the experience of a sophomore in high school. Yet this sophomore has not dealt with the same issues as other students in her grade.

Never Have I Ever is about Devi and her friends trying to have the best sophomore year. Yet to achieve that goal, they must all find a boyfriend. Devi, leader of the group, has a major crush on the hot swimmer, Paxton. Sadly the rumors about spreading around the school about Devi aren't about her feelings for Paxton.

Devis father died due to a heart attack the night of Devi's recital. The tragedy effected Devi not only emotionally but physically. She was paralyzed and left in a wheelchair. This was until one summer before her sophomore year. She saw a group of guys in the parking lot of a grocery store with her mother. She wanted to get a better look which caused her to stand to her feet. Devi was miraculously standing and walking again. Yet with her recovery the students of her high school did not believe that she was ever paralyzed.

These rumors did not last long during the series only for the first two episodes. The hot gossip that gets spread around the school is about her hook up with six pack Paxton. Yet truth is this is a lie. Devi confronts Paxton about having sex together, which he agrees to the idea. Yet when the moment comes, Devi runs away. Literally she ran out of his house and back home. But when Devi tells her friends about her and Paxton, she simply lies to them. She doesn't tell them that when she meet up with him that she backed out, but went all in.

Of course later in the series her friends find out the truth, which puts a dent in their relationship. While Devi was struggling with her and Paxton's relationship during school, she suffered with more issues at home. The death of her dad effected her still during her sophomore year, and her mom wasn't the best support system. Not only did her mom make her feel stress but her older cousin. Her older cousin recently moved into her home from India. Her cousin has flawless skin, beautiful brown eyes, a cute smile, and is the definition of gorgeous. Her cousin brings out the anger in Devi. From her looks, to the relationship her mother has with her cousin. While the main character in this show is Devi, the series shows the life of each character. From one of her good friends struggling with her sexuality, and another classmate dealing with his rich parents never spending time with him. The show gives the perspective of numerous lives and different cultures in the show. While the show may seem it's about a hook up session, it is about real struggles that high schoolers face. Because not every teenagers problem in life is about getting with a jock.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
