Friday night date night is the typical dinner and movie. The petty argument of what movie to see and who's paying for the tickets/food. The shopping dates where he sucks it up and goes into every store and complaints your every outfit you try on. The surprise picnics to homemade dinners of their favorite foods.
The first kiss... When, where, and how? It's almost always unexpected. The nerves and butterflies each time you are together, will it be today? Will it be during the movie or when he drops me off? You've been imagining it since you met him and now it's the waiting game. But, you can never plan it happening when you're getting your car keys out of your purse in the middle of the driveway and he sprints up to you, embraces your face and the kiss.
The first I love you... Is this all too good to be true, you think. You're full of butterflies and the it seems too surreal to believe. Pure happiness sets in and for some you say it instantly. Some takes a little while to say I love you too. May take weeks to months... But, all that matters is you love everything about them and it's magical.
The first major argument isn't the prettiest. You both don't know how to communicate well and voices get escalated. One of you interpreted what the other said wrong then it blows up to something that happened weeks ago because of lack of communication. You both go to bed angry. Wake up and regret the whole thing.
A year goes by and it seems like a lifetime together. You've done everything together and all you can think is us against the world. You can conquer anything. No matter the people who doubt you the circumstances, or distance.

Life throws massive curveballs and sometimes your first love won't be your last love. They give you a taste of what you're meant to have and maybe feel like your younger days once more.
