As soon as weather becomes a little chillier, nothing beats sitting under a fuzzy blanket with your pajamas on and a warm beverage in your hand to watch hours and hours of Netflix. Here is the best of what Netflix has to offer to get you prepared for spooky season.

1. Stranger Things (2016-current)

You may have already seen this one, and if you haven't, you need to. It is a show that is well worth the hype! If you're in the mood for a sci-fi, 80's nostalgic vibe, this show would be your best bet.

2. Children of the Corn (1984)

"He who walks behind the rows"! Although the special effects are a little outdated, this movie is still one of my favorite thrillers. Perfect for when you want something a little twisted, but nothing too extreme.

3. Dark (2017-current)

At first glance, this thriller series may come off as a German remake of Stranger Things, but it turns out to be much different in comparison. This series mixes in supernatural, sci-fi, psychological thriller, and mystery genres all in one, keeping you guessing throughout the entire season. Well worth the watch!

4. The Sixth Sense (1999)

Another psychological thriller added to the list! This movie is a classic with a great twist! Highly recommended for when you're wanting to watch an eerie movie that is more of a mystery rather than a horror film.

5. Mindhunter (2017-current)

This series focuses around serial killers and the men who tried to figure them out! If you're interested in anything along the lines of Criminal Minds, Law and Order, or NCIS, this show is right up your alley!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
