Here are a few of my favorite TV series that have been able to capture my attention, feelings and time. If you haven’t already seen them, then you probably should consider looking into them.
1. Dexter. The sexy serial-killer blood splatter analysis makes this one of the most intriguing series I believe to be on Netflix. Dexter, who works for Miami Metro is ironically addicted to murdering criminals. This show has a great plot through each season, keeping viewer on the edge of their seats. This show begins with Dexter on the “hunt,” thus it is impossible to turn away even after just the first episode.
2. New Girl. If you are looking for a good laugh, you should definitely see this show. The main character, Jess, is a quirky schoolteacher who finds three random roommates on craigslist, who ultimately become best friends. These characters never fail to make me laugh with their sarcastic and awkward attitudes. Even after re-watching one of the seasons, I still laugh as if I am watching it for the first time.
3. One Tree Hill. This is my all-time favorite TV series. If you are like me and have already seen this series, then you probably grew up watching it in high school. "One Tree Hill" is the typical TV drama that follows the lives of high school students but then shows each character grow up with families and getting real jobs. A small glimmer of hope for all of us viewers who envy their fictional relationships and small town lives.
4. Grey’s Anatomy. A new favorite of mine that I was hesitant about at first, but once I got over all the blood and surgeries, I fell in love. The series is held in a hospital in Seattle that is, as you guessed, filled with drama. The show gives us insight to the characters lives inside their workplace and their personal lives outside of the hospital. However, most of the time these lives intertwine creating for an interesting series.
5. Scandal. Oliva Pope. That is all. She is the epitome of perfection. The best lawyer in Washington, she is powerful, driven and sophisticated. Who also sleeps with the President? Yeah this shows is exactly what the title infers. This show exposes all of the fictional governments plots and ploys that deceive the nation’s citizens.
Have yourself an Olivia Pope inspired night, and settle down with a big glass of wine and check out some of the TV dramas I have mentioned above and thank me later.
