Netflix binge-watching is a relatively new phenomenon. It consists of hours in front of your laptop or TV, getting caught up in a drama-filled world of fiction. Some see it as a blessing, others a curse. Whichever you believe, if you are a Netflix Binger, you definitely can relate to the following:

1. Time doesn’t exist...

2. And neither does sunlight…

Unless the red glow from Netflix's main page counts.

3. Sometimes you'd rather watch Netflix than go out

(More like all of the time.)

4. People are either impressed with your abilities...

or concerned about your commitment to fiction...

5. Either way, you think your TV watching skills are pretty top notch

6. Catching up with a show after binge-watching a few seasons is rough

One episode a week is not nearly enough!

7. Vacations mean more time for Netflix

Who needs to go outside and socialize anyway?

8. It's inevitable to lose track of how many times “Next episode playing in __ seconds” has popped up

9. Watching one season in a week is child’s play

Try four.

10. You always click “skip recap”

You don’t need a refresher when you’ve been watching the same show for seven hours.

11. You get too emotionally invested in the characters’ lives

12. You have dozens of Netflix shows to recommend to friends

Supernatural, One Tree Hill, The Office, Gilmore Girls, The Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, New Girl, The Flash, Sherlock, Arrow, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon a Time, Stranger Things...need I go on?

And when you get them hooked, you think:

13. You’ve had many internal debates on whether or not you should go to bed

You: you have to be up early in the morning

Also You: keep watching, you have to find out what happens next

14. “Just one more” never means just one more

And when your friends ask you if you kept watching even though you said you would take a break, you give them this face:

15. The theme song of your current Netflix binge becomes your jam

16. In every show you watch, there’s that one character that you hate with a burning passion…

*cough* Dan Scott *cough*

17. And there’s always that character that you adore and want to protect at all costs

18. You are lost when you finish a series

19. "I have to go get some work done now" is code for "I have to go watch Netflix until I'm exhausted and don't have time to actually be productive"

20. You know you should probably cut back on Netflix, but you couldn't care less

It's basically your boyfriend/girlfriend, why break up with someone so reliable? ;)

21. You’re forever in the middle of binge-watching a new show, and you don't plan on stopping anytime soon

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
