There are too many shows, so little time. It's impossible to finish it all at once. Although, we can try by finding shows on cable or borrowing DVDs from the library. I've had Netflix for a year or so but there are some great shows that aren't on Netflix, the list could go on for days but for your sake, I'll only list 10.
1) Orphan Black- This is a sci-fi show and it starts with one of the characters, Sarah, played by Tatiana Manslany, whose life changes when she witnessed a suicide by a twin she didn't know she had. When Sarah discovers the women's identity, it wasn't the only thing she discovered. That twin was a clone and she's not the only one. Sarah discovers secrets that are dangerous yet strange. This show will have you on the edge of your seat, I know I was on mine.
2) Desperate Housewives- Four housewives, different backgrounds and keep secrets behind closed doors. Lynette Scavo, a stay-at-home mom who had a career in advertising; Susan Mayer, a divorcee and a single mom; Bree Van De Kamp, who appears to be the perfect mom and tries to maintain a perfect image with herself and her family; Gabrielle Solis, who is an ex-model and lives with her husband. Four friends who stick together. One juicy show that's not one to pass up.
3) I Love Lucy- It's a show from the 50's that will have you laughing in every episode. One of the main characters, Lucy Ricardo, played by Lucille Ball, is a wacky individual who gets herself into all sorts of trouble. She lives with her husband, Ricky Ricardo, played by Desi Arnaz, is a Cuban bandleader. Whenever Lucy gets into trouble, it drives Ricky crazy. Their best friends are Fred and Ethel Mertz who happens to be their landlords. This is a classic show any age will enjoy watching.
4) Web Therapy- Fiona Wallace, played by Lisa Kudrow, is a self-professed online therapist and she helps her patients by listening but also manages to talk about herself in every session, any opportunity she gets. This is a comical yet a sarcastic show.
5) Scream Queens- This mystery series includes the "Red Devil" as the killer when Wallace University's Kappa Kappa Tau sorority has pledges on edge with fears of being in danger. Terror rises that the murderer behind the mask could be anyone and so could the next victim. Dean Cathy Munsch, actress Jamie Lee Curtis, forces the Kappa fashionista president, Chanel Oberlin, actress Emma Roberts, to accept anyone who is interested in joining the sorority. This series manages to be scary, funny yet interesting.
6) Sister, Sister- Teenage twins meet at a clothing store at a mall but didn't know about each other because they were adopted. Tia Landry, actress Tia Mowry, lives with her single mother, Lisa Landry while Tamera Campbell, actress Tamera Mowry, lives with her single father, Ray Campbell. When the twins refuse to stay apart any longer, they persuade their single parent to live together under one roof. Ever since then, they have encountered many surprises, adventures and lessons.
7) Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns- This is a spinoff of Tyler Perry's House of Payne. Leroy Brown, actor David Mann, transforms the house he inherited from his father into a senior citizen home, Brown Meadows. When he thinks running a senior citizen home would be smooth sailing, he is mistaken. His residents are wild, fun and trying to keep their life together. It's a comedy show that will brighten your day.
8) Tyler Perry's House of Payne- In a house full of people, love, trouble and humor occurs. When Ella and Curtis Payne are joined by their son, Calvin, their nephew, C.J and his wife Janine and their two kids, mistakes are often made but there are many lessons to learn. This show tackles issues such as bullying, AIDS, and abuse.
9) Golden Girls- Four seniors spend their golden years together under one roof. You can imagine the trouble and arguments they may have but in the end, love always win. Four seniors whose personalities may clash but they compliment each other well.
10) Devious Maids- These five women are bonded by their jobs as maids in Beverly Hills. In this show, affairs and secrets will be exposed as we learn about a murder. It is a dramatic yet a funny series.
