My Top 5 Favorite YouTubers
YouTube

YouTube has blown up in the past few years or so and features many videos ranging from makeup tutorials and product reviews to gaming and funny videos. To some people, YouTube may seem like a drama filled, immature, and full of useless content. Although this may be the case for some YouTube channels, I have come across a few YouTubers that have amazed me and kept me watching their videos day after day. These are not in any particular order, but here are my top 5 favorite YouTubers.

1. Grav3yardgirl

Grav3yardgirl is a woman who lives in Texas who goes by the name of Bunny Meyer. She is very popular for her “grab bag” channel that features videos such as makeup tutorials, haul videos, unboxings, PR unboxings, testing out weird and unusual products, and makeup and “As Seen On TV” product reviews. What I love about her is not only her amazing style and taste, but her personality. She is genuinely kind and would not hurt a soul. She is completely drama free, gives back to her fans countless of times, and is so mindful of others. I also love how fun and crazy she can be in her videos and is always herself. She is also pretty open about her anxiety and depression problems from time to time, so it helps me feel like I am not alone when she talks about those things. I can honestly without a doubt say that she is my favorite YouTuber.

2. Simply Nailogical

Simply Nailogical is run by a Canadian woman by the name of Cristine. Her YouTube channel is famous for her nail art videos, testing nail products, and a whole lot of holographic things. She is probably part of the reason why holo is so popular now. I love that she is so carefree and keeps things lighthearted. She is always quick to make a joke, but she keeps things real at the same time. Not only is she a YouTuber, but she is also a crime statistic analyst for the Canadian government. I love this about her because she uses her position with her crime statistic analyst careers to advocate girls to pursue science and math careers.

3. ThreadBanger

The YouTube channel ThreadBanger is ran by a couple from North Carolina names Rob and Corinne. Their channel features DIY, cooking, hacks, and Pinterest videos. This may seem very typical, however, they are so real and hysterical about the projects that they do. They include all of their fails and mistakes and tell you if a project or hack is a load of crap so they can save you from wasting your time. Rob and Corinne have both definitely became some of my favorite people and they are totally couple goals for me.

4. Robbaz

Robbaz is a man from Sweden that goes by the name of Robert. His channel features video game commentary for many games such as The Sims 3 and 4, Kerbal Space Program, Fallout, and many simulator games. He is also a chef, so he will occasionally make cooking videos. Although he remains faceless in his videos, his personality is very unique. He is very funny, sometimes inappropriate, and makes everything a lot more interesting than it is. For that, I personally find him a whole lot better than Pewdiepie, who has often been compared to Robbaz because they are both from Sweden.

5. Markiplier

Markiplier is a man from Cincinnati, Ohio who currently resides in Los Angles that goes by the name Mark. His channel is filled with countless games that are popular and even games that many haven’t heard of or thought of playing. He is very popular for his Five Nights at Freddy’s series and his very relaxing, radio-worthy voice. I have recently started watching his videos and couldn’t help but fall in love with them and his awesome, carefree personality. And I might add that to me, he is quite easy on the eyes.

These YouTubers are always keeping me happy when I am struggling and having my hardest times. Without them, I don’t really know how I would cope with many of the problems I have today. These are people I truly hope to meet one day and suggest that everyone should watch their videos.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
