Autumn is seriously the greatest time of year. The leaves change, you don't sweat profusely all the time from the hot sun, it means that Christmas is close and all the best activities in the world at your finger tips. These are my top seven things I can't wait to do once Autumn comes!
1. Hikes
Hiking is generally is amazing, and summer hikes are so fun, but the atmosphere is totally different when you hike in autumn. The whole place looks different. The ambiance of a place changes drastically when there are leaves colored red, orange and yellow all around. When their is wildlife all over and a crisp scent in the air. I can't to see how pretty nature is when the season changes.
2. Pumpkin Patch/Corn maze
As a kid my parents always brought me to the pumpkin patch which also had a corn maze. It wasn't Halloween without carving pumpkins and eating pumpkin seeds and getting lost with all the twists and turns in the maze.
3. Apple Picking
Who doesn't love cheap food and the experience of picking the prettiest apples and eating a few on the way (even though you aren't supposed to).
4. Halloween
I was never seriously into Halloween but as I get older I see how much fun it can be transforming into anything I want for the night and seeing the different personas that everyone takes on. It makes you wonder if people truly are who they want to be.
5. Haunted Houses
I haven't been to a haunted house in forever but i really want to go this year! The scary movies that plague the television before Halloween is my favorite. Who doesn't like a little scare every once in awhile?! Lighten up, people. It's fun!
6. Flannels and Combat boots
If I could live in flannels and combat boots all year long, I would. Autumn is the perfect excuse to only wear my flannels and leggings and boots everyday and no one can say anything to me about it because I am in Autumn spirit.
7. My TV Shows Are Starting New Seasons
Shameless and American Horror Story and both going to be on this Autumn and it makes my little heart so happy to know that I have a little extra to look forward to after a long day of classes.
