Summer is the perfect time to load up your car with you best friends and hit the road to find some new adventures. One of my favorite parts of taking a road trip is getting to belt along with your favorite play lists while your friends dance in the back seat. So, here are, in my opinion, some of the best songs to put on your road trip playlist!

1. Love On Top- Beyoncé

I mean really, what's better than belting to Beyoncé?? I'm sure you and your friends get pretty excited when this song comes on because it's your time to shine and hit those runs like a pro! Well, at least you sound like one when you're singing along!

2. She Will Be Loved- Maroon 5

This bop is a no brainer for a road trip playlist. It's just one of those songs that you can pour your heart and soul into while singing it!

3. Heads Carolina, Tails California- Jo Dee Messina

For me, this song is an anthem of just getting on the road and driving away from your problems. This is a perfect road trip song for when you're needing to leave some stress behind you for a week or so!

4. Riptide- Vance Joy

Riptide is such a relaxing song. This song is perfect for staring out the window and admiring the view of your current adventure. It's one that can just make you feel at peace while on the road!

5. Fast Car- Tracy Chapman

This is one of my absolute favorite songs but I love it most when I'm traveling and heading to a new adventure!

6. A Thousand Miles- Vanessa Carlton

I mean, obviously!

7. Jesus, Take The Wheel- Carrie Underwood

This is such a beautiful song and singing along with Carrie Underwood is always a wonderful time! It's a perfect song for when the hype of the trip has worn off and you need something calm to sing along to as you just enjoy the company of your traveling companions.

8. Hand in My Pocket- Alanis Morissette

This is such a chill song that everyone can just bob their heads to as they sing along!

9. Love Shack- The B-52's

This is one of the most fun songs that exists! Everyone will know it and it's almost impossible to not dance along to! It's also a great song for when everyone starts to get tired while driving. This song is sure to pump you up and get you wide awake!

10. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)- The Proclaimers

The absolute best road trip song, ever. There's not another song that will get your group of traveling buddies more excited than this one. It's one that you will all definitely know and you just can't help singing along!
