5 Goals I Have For Summer 2019

Summer is a three and a half month time period full of growth, relaxation and memories. Make the most of it.

5 Goals I Have For Summer 2019

The next few months are going to be amazing. I have so many things I want to accomplish and so much time to accomplish them all. This list is my way of staying organized with my goals and to give myself some sort of accountability.

1. Make Time For Studying

Even though it is easy to get wrapped up in all of the festivities that summer brings, I need to make sure I remember to focus on my classes. I'll be in a couple of online classes. This makes my schedule much more flexible for traveling.

2. Stay In A Good Fitness Routine

During the fall and spring semesters, life is absolutely crazy. Football games, finals, club meetings, and everything else that college brings always seem to get in the way of my workouts. Summer is the perfect time to eat healthier and go to the gym consistently. It is never too late to work on your summer body, right?

3. Travel

With the excess free time I'll have, I am excited to travel. My family has trips to London and the Bahamas already planned. I'm hoping to squeeze in a few more trips to places I have never visited before August arrives!

4. Take A Million Pictures

Okay, maybe I won't actually take a million pictures. But, I want to take a good amount of them. Sometimes it can be annoying to stop and pose for a picture, but I have never actually regretted taking one. I may have some cringe-worthy Instagram pictures from middle school, but at least I can look back and laugh. I want to take pictures of my friends, new places and cool things. Years from now I know I am going to want to see pictures of my "wild college summers."

5. Be Intentional With My Time

Giphy

Three and a half months seems like an endless amount of time. Unfortunately, summer will be over before you know it. I want to be able to look back and feel like I made the most of it. I also want to be able to remember everything, which is where goal #4 comes into play

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
