A Letter To My Role Model

Everyone has someone they admire, someone they look up to, someone they aspire to be, and you Kara, are that person for me.

Dear role model, you are heart eyes for days.

I just want to let you know that you are such a wonderful being and that I'm so privileged to have met you. I really wish I would have met you sooner. I aspire to be like you; Lord knows how much I would love to have the sass you possess. I want you to know that I will always be your number one fan, rooting for you, even if it's 10 years from now, or 500 miles away. On your bad days, I want you to know that you are loved, and you are still admired. I want you to know, that although you feel like you do nothing, I feel like you can accomplish anything. Thank you for being the example of all that I want to be. You make me proud.

I hope and wish that wonderful things may happen to you. I want you to have a beautiful life, so I can cherish you in your growth and development. I want you to get your dream job, and your mini Kara, and have a happy home. I want you to have everything your heart desires.

I know that at this stage in life, it's hard to see what the future may hold. I also know that at this time, there's a lot of things that bring stress and frustration in your life. I want you to know that I've got you. If you ever want to vent, or you ever need a hug, or you ever want me to just distract you from whatever, I am here for you.

I'm so happy to be working with you and doing life with you, because you make my heart so happy. Know that you are wonderful, and you will continue to be wonderful.

I love you so much!

(P.S. I'm mad I don't ever take pictures with you)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
