I have been with Odyssey since August of last year, so I have been writing my thoughts on my life experiences and feelings for quite some time. I am so glad that I decided to take a chance on this amazing platform! It has been awesome to see me grow as a writer and see how far I have come.

If you would have told me last July that I was going to apply for Odyssey, I would not have believed you. The only times I would write were in school for essays, so I was kind of worried if what I had to say in articles were going to be good when I was in the process of joining the schools Odyssey team. I still to this day remember the phone call I had with Shelby about joining the team. I was so nervous about joining but I knew that if I turned the chance down that I would have regretted it.

I have no regret now. Most certainly, I am so glad that I am a part of this amazing and talented team. I love what I am able to bring to the table every week with my articles. My articles are little glimpses of my life and what I have felt as a freshman in college. My voice is able to be heard through words every week. I am not going to lie, there has been times it has been hard being on the team, but thats only when I do not have a topic to write about and a deadline (sorry Shelby this is late lol). But it has been such a blast and journey to be writing for Odyssey, I would not trade it for the world!

Odyssey means so much to me! So far, it has been with me through the best of times and the worst of times. I have been able to get my feelings off my chest about topics I would not have thought I had anything to say about. Needless to say, I have surprised myself a few times with what I have published at the end of the week.
