Man, oh man this past week has been stressful. Now, I admit, I say that a lot. But this week might just be a record-setter. Among, a million school responsibilities, including a paper and huge test, I had the pleasure of dealing with a tornado (@Texas) which led to a broken window, downed power/wifi, and a lot of anxiety.
So as I was sitting in the library for what seemed like the millionth hour of the week, I was looking for something to calm my stress a bit. And that's when, thanks to the ingenious of Apple Music, I found it.
I had stumbled upon Ellie Holcomb's new album, Red Sea Road. And it QUICKLY became my favorite and most played (I'm serious I've probably listened to 20 times all the way through and there are 13 songs).
This album, beautifully crafted, spoke to my soul. It reminded me that I am completely worthy solely through a Father's love. It reminded me to be overwhelmed with peace, not stress. It reminded me to stop fighting my battles alone when I have the greatest ally.
All the songs are beautiful, but my personal favorite is "Wonderfully Made". I think the title speaks for itself.
The iTunes bio describes the album as "empowering and toe-tapping" and I couldn't agree more. So go listen!
