For every great movie in the world there’s always that one moment that just makes the movie 100x better. Even if it’s in a bad movie there can be that one scene that just completely makes the movie. So here are my top 10 favorite movie moment because that’s what you’re here to see and you want me to shut up because AJ you’re so whack! Even though my mom says I’m the coolest boy in school.

What the fuck am I even talking about right now?

10. The airport fight sequence from Captain America Civil War.

Yeah, had to get my most recent one out of the way first. I kept thinking if I were to pick something that’s really recent, what’s one scene that not only had me at the edge of my seat but also cheering and howling when it was over? And that definitely belongs to the airport fight sequence in Captain America Civil War. I know it may seem like a stretch but in reality I have not seen a fight scene like this. It was so intense yet so funny, and yet the action was so well filmed and it just had this energy to the whole thing, I just did not want it to slow down and it didn’t. This is a perfect example of what an action mainstream blockbuster scene should be and Civil War is also an example of that. Right when it ended I wanted to get up and cheer. That’s how good it was.

9. The ending to Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Okay, just a heads up a lot of endings will be on this list guaranteed. But this ending is just so powerful and it just gives me this nice warm feeling by the end. It almost wants to put me in tears, but in other ways, it’s actually a happy ending. Not to mention John Candys performance in the ending is just heartbreaking. It’s a whole plot twist but it works so well and it actually answers a lot of questions. I don’t usually cry during movies but this one almost did it for me. If you haven’t seen Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, just do me a favor and see it. I think it’s one of the best comedies ever made, and this ending did so much for the film.

8. The train scene from Spirited Away

I’m not going to go in full detail on this one because it’s just a moment of silence on a train. But god, this scene is so beautifully animated and the use of silence only makes it more affecting. Earlier in the film we were greeted with scary imagery of animation and non stop energy but here, it just lets you breathe and it’s so refreshing.

7. The ending of Donnie Darko (specifically the Mad World montage)

This scene just really hits me. Not only is the song such a perfect fit for this scene, but just the look on everyone’s face as they grieve, it’s actually really heartbreaking. Again, this is a moment of absolute silence aside from the music and every time I watch it I just get this sinking feeling in my heart because when we find out what happens, we really grow in to the character and of course the song doesn’t really help. But yeah, this scene is just so hauntingly beautiful and when I saw it for the first time I knew that I was watching something special.

6. The fight from Anchorman

This is one of the only comedic scenes on the list. But honestly who doesn’t love this fight scene? It is insane and it is ridiculous and it is absolutely hilarious. And of course Steve Carrell has some of the best moments and lines in this scene. How could you watch this scene and not laugh? That’s all I have to say

5. The ending fight from Blazing Saddles

Like I said there was more comedic moments I wanted to mention and I think this is the last. This…. Just this… It’s a whole plot twist and it is probably my all time favorite plot twist because it is hysterical, it is insane, it is absolutely absurd. Not to mention the best fourth wall break I have ever seen. Now that I think about it, this might be the funniest movie scene of all time.

I can’t find the full scene so just watch the movie

4. The ending to Whiplash

This… Is… The…. Most…. Intense…. Ending…. I…. Have…. Ever…. Seen. This scene is just on. That’s the best way to describe it…… It’s just on and it never turns off, it doesn’t give you a chance to breathe until it’s over and when it does you will want to stand up and cheer. The hell that this young man (whose played by Miles Teller) was going through leading up to this is just so satisfying in the end and so heart pounding and pretty emotional and when it cuts to credits, again, you’ll want to stand up and cheer. I loved every second of this movie before, but the ending alone put it in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

3. The riot from Do the Right Thing

Again…. This scene is intense, but it’s also extremely relevant to todays society. It’s probably the most important scene on this list and it’s perfect reason why. This is such an important scene dealing with racism and the outcome will outrage you and make you hate the justice system. It’s just such a perfect scene to follow up everything because once it happens, you are glued to the screen and you can’t look away.

2. The ending to The Truman Show

I know this is a weird choice, but I seriously can’t help it. This ending just affects me so much because we know what Truman was going through throughout the film and for him to now realize everything, it’s heartbreaking because he has no idea what the real world is. Jim Carrey and Ed Harris’s performances are absolutely euphoric in this scene. You see that Ed Harris really wants Carrey to stay even though he knows everything already but Carrey throughout this scene has this depressingly confused look on his face and he owned it. And Carrey’s last line is cheer worthy.

    1. The ending to It’s a Wonderful Life

This scene makes me cry. It is in my opinion the most beautiful movie scene ever because it shows the absolute good side in humans and to just see our main character so happy with everything after almost throwing everything away is just so heartwarming and beautiful. The last line I think is the most beautiful line they could have chosen for this scene. I can watch this scene over and over and not get tired of it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
