Dear "Little" Brother,
While I never thought this day would come, you are officially now a high school senior! I still see you as the little boy who was so excited to start his first day of kindergarten. While I haven't seen that much excitement in your eyes to go to school since kindergarten, I promise you senior year is the best year ever. You are now the big fish in the little pond! You will rule the school along with all your buddies and this is the year you finally catch a break before you enter the next stage in life. While we have a slight age gap between us, my senior year wasn't that long ago. I look back on my senior year with a great amount of happiness and I hope when you graduate this coming spring, you will look back at your senior year the same way.
In order to achieve an ideal senior year, I thought you may like some advise from your older sister as it is my job to do the trial and error as the oldest sibling.
Always look sharp; with graduation coming up, you have to leave your peers with the image of you always looking your best. After all, this is how they will remember you and you will thank me when everyone remembers how cool you looked at your class reunion. Be with your friends as you are all going through this last year together before life takes you in different directions. Hang out and just take it all in that after four years together, you all have almost made it to the end. While I want you to have a ton of fun this year, don't forget that your grades still matter. Colleges still look at your senior year grades, so while you are going through these next few semesters, remember to balance both work and play. Go to homecoming and prom one last time! My biggest high school regret is not going to my last homecoming. While it may seem lame, there are no more school dances in life. Take the corny pictures and suck it up because if anything they will be great stories to tell in the future. Lastly, take it all in and just be you!
While I know I won't be around for most of your senior year, know that I am so proud of you! You have conquered many mountains, made many friends, and have become the brave young man you are today. Your family will always love and support you no matter where life takes you. I wish only the best for you during your senior year and I hope you make a lot of great memories. Your years of hard work are finally paying off and I can't wait to see how this year unfolds for you!
I love you so much,
Your Older Sister
