My friends and I went to Warped Tour in Dallas on Friday, and I had pretty low expectations considering how amazing last year's lineup was compared to this year's. Of course, I was blown away and proven wrong immediately. Even though we all almost died, these guys made the 103-degree heat worth it.
Here are my top five favorite bands/artists that I saw at Warped this year.
1. Watsky
Of course, he's on my list. I've been obsessed with this dude for a while now, and seeing him live and meeting him really brought everything I love about him together. He opened with the above song. Give it a listen.
2. Stacked Like Pancakes
This brass-rock band really stood out through their energy and choreography. They may not be popular, but they are immensely talented.
3. Bowling for Soup
You probably (hopefully) already know this one. Probably the funniest set of them all--they played the Phineas and Ferb theme song, thank god--their musical prowess really impressed me.
4. Our Last Night
Two words: water cannons. I thank you, Our Last Night, with all my heart.
5. Neck Deep
Somehow they absolutely perfected the jumping up and down at the same time thing. But it was a mixture of the giant dancing Pikachu, amazing songs and accents that made them stand out.
Honorable Mention: Crown the Empire
They didn't make the actual list because they weren't on Warped Tour this year, but I stayed the night in Dallas to see them in concert the next day. By far, my favorite performance of the weekend.
