Music Is Cool, But Also Leaves An Emotional Toll

There are a lot of genres in music and almost each one helps in the emotional state of mind. In emotional distress or elevation, music can be taken into account. Here are different genres and sub-genres of music that can help, depending on your state of mind you are in.

Especially during this lock-down/quarantine season, it is important which kind of songs to listen to and which ones to avoid. This might seem super obvious, but still, the factor of listening varies from novice to expert and also what level of audiophile you are.

So to get started, a little backstory on my musical expertise! I am formally trained in the vocal technique and have been practicing, playing, and singing for a while now.

I can go about explaining the emotional response to different genres of music, but first, I'll give my opinion on the types of music I like to listen to and give a brief experience listening to it in accordance with the emotional state.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
