Being a college student, in order to have fun, I have to do so on a budget. I am the type of person who likes to always be doing something, however, my wallet does not feel the same way. As someone who enjoys movies, going out to the theater is always an appealing option to me with the exception that it isn't exactly the cheapest activity.

Typically tickets can be anywhere between eight to fifteen dollars not including snacks and refreshments, but with this wonderful deal that I uncovered, I can go to the movies every day for a month for cheaper than the price of one ticket.

MoviePass is a subscription that allows subscribers to see one movie every day at a select 4,000+ theaters for the price of $9.95 a month. Although this is the base price on the website, there are many additional deals attached to this subscription, like groupons, if you search for them on the internet.

Personally, I bought my subscription through Costco who charged me $89.95 for a year ($6.95 a month) and included a year-long subscription to Fandor, an alternative online movie streaming service.

This company has been around since 2011 but is just now gaining attention because of its latest business model which has been showing great success since mid-2017. When telling people about MoviePass, I have seen lots of responses gravitating towards questioning the legitimacy of this company because of its "too good to be true" factor, but if you trust Netflix or Redbox then you should trust MoviePass as its CEO, Mitch Lowe, is the former CEO of both of those companies.

Using MoviePass is very simple to use, however, it is a process that needs explanation. The first part of using MoviePass is actually signing up for it and acquiring the necessary parts to be able to use it.

1. Register for a subscription on the MoviePass website.

2. Wait for them to mail you the physical MoviePass card that you need with you to get into every movie.

3. Download the MoviePass app which is free from the app store.

When your MoviePass arrives in the mail you are all set to go see one movie every day of the year! There are no blackout dates for the movie pass, however, certain services like 3D movies and special theaters are not included with the pass.

You can find out what theaters your movie pass works at by entering your zip code into the app or website's search bar, which in my case was surprisingly a lot. On the app, you can pick what movie to go through by searching specific theaters or movie titles, and once you decide on the one this is what you do.

1. Click on the specific movie you would like to see (correct place and time) and press the "Check In" option. In order to check in, you must be within 100 yards of the theater.

2. Approach the ticket counter and order a ticket for the same movie you entered into the application.

3. When they ask you to pay, swipe your MoviePass card in the card reader.

I have no affiliation with this company and have no reason to sell you on this idea other than the fact that I think this is a wonderful service to provide. When I first heard of MoviePass, I was shocked that I hadn't already heard anything about it, and even more shocked when no one knew what I was talking about when I mentioned it after that.

MoviePass is a great deal that I happened to come across, and hopefully, with time everyone will be able to hear about it as well and be able to enjoy quality entertainment for minimal cost.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
